2008 Colorado Juneteenth Festival
Please join us in honoring our past & building the future
Juneteenth is the official
holiday that emphasizes
remembering and honoring
the past, the spirit of our
ancestors and the celebration
of freedom. It is the oldest
known celebration of the end
of slavery.
Each year in June we
recognize community
builders who are keeping our
ancestors' dream alive
through their work and
commitment to equal rights
in the areas of health,
education and financial
self-reliance. These leaders
understand and demonstrate
the critical importance of
actions over words.
